St Vincent Appeal

A letter from the Birmingham Methodist Circuit

Dear Churches,Chateaubelair, St Vincent and volcano La Soufriere

Following the eruption of the volcano, La Soufrière, on the Caribbean Island of St Vincent, the World Mission Fund is sending a solidarity grant to the Methodist Church in St Vincent to help those people who have been displaced and in shelters. (When this happened in Montserrat, many people were unable to return to their home for 3 years.) We do not know how long it will be before the people in the north of St Vincent will be able to return to their homes.

The Methodist Church holds St Vincent in prayer as we have received a prayer request from Bishop, The Rev’d Everald L. Galbraith, President of Conference of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA) .
